I have this quality folder of nice sea life, but I'm not sure if anything surpasses a horseshoe crab. Mostly boxfish are amazing because they're literal cubes omg

The Mantis Shrimp is one of the best animals. It has fists instead of claws, and punches so fast it creates a shockwave of boiling water that can explode the shells of it's prey. It can explode its way out of aquariums, too.

Thylacine / Tasmanian Tiger

The thylacine was the largest known carnivorous marsupial of modern times. However, due to humans hunting the species, Thylacines went extinct during the 1930's. The last known remaining few were in kept captivity.
In a recent 2013/2014 documentary, scientists were trying to see if it was possible to clone this wonderful species by using the DNA of a female pup that had been preserved in alcohol for a century.

apparently maltese tigers would have looked like this but tbh this is just a photoshop so

they're one of those things that could be real but probably isn't, and even if it was wouldn't have blue eyes
but COOL

also melanistic animals, animals with too much pigment (melanin) so they're black, are cool (these are real)

I found out about this pet recently and the need is real



Sugar gliders are like flying squirrel marsupial things and they are super adorable. They are very sociable and playful animals and!!! apparantly they're so loyal to you  and they love being around you so much that you can put them in your pocket and take them out to places!!! Like, imagine being at work at a boring meeting and you whip out your pet and the boss gives you a raise beacuse it's so cute. And they can do tricks, and they can glide/fly, and they get along well with other pets, and they have a lifespan of about 12-14 years. I want 40

oh my gosh the prairie chicken is a furry
fowl are the prettiest birds and I think the capercaillie is one of the prettiest:


It can only be found in Scotland which makes it the sweckest endemic creature probably. I dare you to find more cool endemic creatures.
